Te Hononga O Nga Iwi

Te Hononga o nga Iwi: The Coming Together of the [Maori] Tribes [of New Zealand].

THONI is a Kapahaka group (Maori performing arts group) based in the South-East suburbs of Melbourne.. United together purely for the passion we have for our culture!

“With a majority of our members having never done kapahaka before, we relish in teaching our Maori people (and others alike) who have never had the opportunity to live and learn about our culture.”

We are proud to be Maori!

Our seniors performing group practice fortnightly on Fridays from 7pm-9:30pm at The Factory, 65 Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne. If you’re interested in becoming a T’HONI performer, these are the nights for you!

We also have an adults beginners program that run fortnighly on Fridays alternate to seniors practice. All are welcome!!!

Our kids group practice fortnightly on Saturday’s from 10am-12pm at The Dock, 176 Stud Road, Dandenong.

Nau mai haere mai tauti mai ra!!!
